The Richmond Electorate
Richmond District is an inner metropolitan electorate located three kilometres east of Melbourne.
Area: 14 square kilometres.
Legislative Council Seat: Northern Metropolitan Region (as of 2006)
Local Council: mostly within the municipal boundaries of the City of Yarra.
Federal Seat: mostly within the Federal seat of Melbourne.
Suburbs: Abbotsford, Burnley, Clifton Hill, Collingwood, Fitzroy and Richmond. Part of the suburb of Fitzroy North.
Features: Richmond District is a residential electorate. It includes the Edinburgh Gardens, Burnley Park and the Burnley campus of the Victorian College of Agriculture and Horticulture.
