WYNNE GIVES RICHMOND GARDENERS THE GREEN THUMBS UP

Housing Minister Richard Wynne today joined Richmond housing estate residents to celebrate the expansion of Victoria’s oldest community garden.

Mr Wynne said the inner-city residents were the first in the state to create and cultivate their own garden in the 1980s.

“Since then, this wonderful shared garden has helped to establish the roots of a strong and vibrant community spirit here in Richmond,” Mr Wynne said. Read more

SCAMS IN THE COMMUNITY INFORMATION SESSION AND AFTERNOON TEA

Member for Richmond, Richard Wynne, and Member for Northern Metropolitan Region, Jenny Mikakos, would like to invite local seniors to an afternoon tea with ourselves and the Minister for Consumer Affairs, the Hon. Tony Robinson, to learn how Victorian Seniors can protect themselves from scams in the community.

We are pleased to host this information session during which Minister Robinson will give you an update on the latest scams that are occurring right now in our community and what steps you can take to ensure that you are not caught by one of these scammers.

FREE MONEY MANAGEMENT TRAINING FOR WOMEN

A free workshop will be held in Melbourne CBD next month as part of a Brumby Labor Government commitment to improving Victorian women’s financial confidence.

FITZROY PRIMARY STUDENTS TAKE UP THE READING CHALLENGE

Thousands of Victorian Prep to Year 10 students across the state have taken up the challenge to read more books with a massive 750,000 books have already been read for this year’s Premier’s Reading Challenge.
